James Moye is an Actor/Director based in New York City. His career boasts Ten Broadway shows, films, TV shows, commercials, world premiere musicals, and plays at many of America’s finest regional theaters. Whether playing leading men or supporting characters, James has experienced a great deal of critical success. When reviewing James as File in 110 In The Shade for The New York Times, chief theater critic Ben Brantley commented, “The excellent James Moye finds shadows of wryness and uneasiness in the stoicism of a country sheriff who has been burned by love.” James has worked with some of the most prominent theater artists in America today, including Steve Martin, Kristen Chenoweth, Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, Joe Mantello, Casey Nicholaw, Jack O’Brien, Bart Sher, and Susan Stroman. James is a member of Actor’s Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. He served on the National Council of AEA, the governing body of the theater actor’s union, for over a decade. James is a graduate of James Madison University, and received the 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award.
